It’s all about language!

Our beloved friend and intellectual mentor Betty Hart and the brilliant and eloquent Dr. Todd Risley taught us (decades ago) about the variables that impact the development of young children and the impact of the years before kindergarten. Occasionally, mainstream science mentions their heroic research. A nice piece in The Economist from earlier this week pays homage to their groundbreaking studies of what happens in the everyday experience of little people. Their research guides what we do, what we recommend, how we teach, and what we try to accommodate for in all children at Astra Day School. Check out the Economist article here!
