During Earth week the Maple room learned about the Earth, ways to take care of it and how to keep it clean.  Miles and Truman show off their promises to the Earth to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Gardening for Everyone!

Jumping in on the gardening trend, Sunflower, Seedling and Maple students plant seeds in the new Astra Day School Garden located on the playground.  Students planted seeds for broccoli, lettuce and radishes and will be planting more seeds next month.  Stop by our garden to see what all comes up!

The inside is what matters.

For Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jessica cracks open two different color eggs to reveal they are the same on the inside.  Seedling kids were heard throughout the week telling each other that even though they are different colors on the outside, they are the same on the inside.

Bubble Art!

Chloe, Eli and Celia blow soapy bubbles during a fun art activity.  To create a unique design on their picture students blew bubbles from a cup before placing their picture on top.
